Healing Teas

My love of plants lives on in the long, humble tradition of herbal and floral teas. Long before tea came from Camellia sinensis, people across cultures brewed leaves, flowers, roots, seeds, and bark gathered close to home—simple infusions made at kitchen tables and hearth fires, passed down as everyday medicine. This way of working with plants is rooted in observation, patience, and relationship. Those same qualities guide my photography. Through the lens, I slow down and pay attention in much the same way—watching light, noticing small details, and honoring what is already present. Whether I am photographing a moment or crafting a tea, both are acts of listening: to the land, to the plants, and to the quiet ways they offer nourishment and healing.
